                                SLING CONSIDERATIONS - EFFECTS OF SLING ANGLES
REDUCTION IN CAPACITY - BASKET HITCH REDUCTION
To  nd the actual sling capacity in a basket hitch, you must  rst,  nd the sling angle by measuring from the horizontal. Once the angle is determined, (using the 90° basket hitch capacity), multiply the sling capacity by the appropriate loss factor listed below.
