Harrington hoists in Minnesota — sales, parts and repair

Harrington hoists are most of what hangs in the shops we look after — hand chain and lever hoists on the floor, electric and air hoists on the cranes. We sell them, stock the parts, and repair them here rather than sending them away.

What we carry from Harrington

Every published model is listed below with its capacity and lift. The reason to buy a hoist from a shop that also repairs them is the second half: when it fails in three years, the people who sold it can open it.

More than the box

What we do with Harrington hardware

The reason to buy the line from a shop that also fabricates and inspects: the assembly, the certification and the repair all come from the same place.

Questions

Harrington, answered straight

Do you repair Harrington hoists?
Yes, in our own shop. We hold parts for the common models, and a repaired hoist is load tested before it goes back, so it returns to service certified.
Is it worth repairing a hoist or should I replace it?
It depends on the model and what has failed. We will tell you when a repair costs more than it is worth rather than quoting a repair you should not buy.
How often does a hoist need inspecting?
Hoists in service require periodic inspection, with the interval set by how hard they work. We inspect on site and document it for your records.
Can you fit a hoist to a crane I already have?
Yes, provided the crane is rated for it. We check the crane first rather than hanging a heavier hoist on a structure that cannot take it.
