Caldwell distributor
Caldwell below-the-hook lifting devices in Minnesota
Caldwell make the device between the hook and the load — lifting beams, spreader beams, coil and roll lifters, drum handlers and the rest. When a load will not hang safely from a sling, this is the part of the catalog that solves it.

What we carry from Caldwell
We publish the line by part number with Caldwell's own capacities and dimensions on the row, including the RUD lifting points Caldwell distribute here. Below-the-hook devices are also the equipment most often needing a load test before it goes to work, and that is done in our own shop.
Lifting & spreader beams
0 part numbersOne hook above and the load kept level, plus fixed and modular Dura-Mod spreaders that put compression into the beam instead of squeezing the load.
The full Caldwell catalog

RUD lifting points

More than the box
What we do with Caldwell hardware
The reason to buy the line from a shop that also fabricates and inspects: the assembly, the certification and the repair all come from the same place.

Questions
Caldwell, answered straight
- Do you load test a below-the-hook lifter before it ships?
- We load test and certify in our own shop when the device or your procedure calls for it, and the certificate goes out with the unit. A device that fails a test does not get certified.
- Can you modify a Caldwell lifter or build a custom one?
- Yes. Where the catalog does not cover the load, our fabrication shop builds to the application. Tell us the load, the pick points and the headroom you have.
- Is RUD part of Caldwell?
- Caldwell distribute RUD lifting points in the United States, which is why the two appear together here. The RUD part numbers and capacities are published on our lifting points pages.
- How often do below-the-hook devices need inspecting?
- They require periodic inspection in service, at an interval set by how hard they work. We inspect on site or in the shop and document it so you have the record.
