What we carry from Peerless

Both are published here by part number with Peerless's own working load limits on the row. The lifting devices are load tested and inspected in our shop; the transport chain is the same chain we make binder assemblies from.

Questions

Peerless, answered straight

What is the difference between transport chain and lifting chain?
Transport chain (Grade 70) secures a load to a vehicle and must never be used to lift. Lifting chain is Grade 80 or 100 alloy. The grade is marked on the links, and we will not build a lifting assembly from transport chain.
Can you make up binder assemblies to length?
Yes. We cut and fit transport chain assemblies with the hooks and binders you want, in our own shop.
Do you inspect securement chain?
We inspect chain against the published discard criteria for wear, stretch, gouges and distortion, and tell you what has to come out of service rather than guessing at it.
